Some Reasons to Expand Consciousness

Despite the great importance that the subject requires, the expansion of consciousness is still a very little explored subject and, therefore, little valued by human beings in general. In this great confusion of a lot of DOING and little BEING, we lose ourselves. The inevitable consequence is a great ignorance of our purpose in life. We fail to realize the enormous extent of our capacity and our power in solving problems, which materializes in a heavy feeling of impotence in the face of difficulties. Expansion of consciousness requires attention and focus on everyday experiences, which in turn requires effort and time from each of us.

Because it is a job of recognition and individual perception, it cannot be done by anyone, except by the person himself. As much as we want to help those we love, the expansion of consciousness is everyone's free will. It cannot be forced or imposed by others, even though there is a lot of love involved in relationships. We must always consider that each person has their time of understanding, perception, and growth.

It is good to know that, when we expand our consciousness, we will not only influence everyone and everything around us by the example given, but we will also be expanding the collective consciousness.

These two reasons would be good enough for us to expand our consciousness, but there are many other great reasons for this beautiful inner work, which only brings us understanding, discernment, and wisdom. Below are some benefits of consciousness expansion:

  • Recognize limiting beliefs and transform them

If expanding our awareness is so good, what prevents us from doing this self-analysis? What stops us are the limiting beliefs we accumulate through our experiences of fear, doubt, and lack of confidence in ourselves. We learn to believe what we are told, what society dictates to us, and what we think is the truth, instead of believing in our intuition and inner power. We prefer the illusion that everything is well over the truth that we are all good.

Every limiting belief, when recognized, can be transformed into self-confidence and self-esteem. Limiting beliefs block us and prevent us from achieving goals, objectives, and dreams. Each limiting belief recognized and transformed expands our awareness of who we are.

  • Develop Potential for Self-Healing

Health and well-being are things that everyone wants, but very few achieve. Focusing on yourself, figuring out what needs to be done, and putting effort and time into the actions needed to reach our goals require willpower and attention. Generally, we want different results, but we keep doing the same things. Same actions, same results. Our body has all the requirements, not only to heal itself but also to simply be healthy all the time. But for that to be so, he needs our help. To help him it is necessary that we do not fill him with bad things. Our body can get rid of some bad stuff, but when we fill it with too many unhealthy things, it can't do the job on its own. Therefore, to achieve self-healing, it is necessary that we collaborate with the process, respecting our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies.

  • Learn to Make the Right Choices

In the midst of a whirlwind of thoughts, fears, and insecurities, it is not possible to see the right path to follow. No matter what's going on, no matter the size of the challenge to be overcome, being able to see the right choice depends on being able to see the bigger picture in the first place. And that requires expansion of consciousness.

  • Act instead of Reacting

Here comes the ability to act instead of reacting. Every reaction to situations that we don't like comes from the ego, which is always wanting to protect us from all suffering. Reactions are thoughtless and come from our survival instinct.

Actions, however, are reviewed and approved by our conscience. When a person acts instead of reacting, his action is smooth, and that person is at peace. The possibility of accepting an offense made by another person is null when we can see the difference between what our responsibility is and what is not. And even if we realize that we are responsible for something that was not done in the best way, the blame does not affect us, because we are very willing to correct our mistakes.

  • Learn to forgive yourself and others

Even though we are perfect beings in essence, we are on this planet to learn duality, which means we have to see the difference between good and bad, right and wrong, logical and illogical and so on. All of us, without exception, are learning duality and in this learning process we end up making many mistakes. Knowing that we all make mistakes, including ourselves, helps us understand and forgive other people's mistakes. When we forgive, we disconnect from low energies such as anger, resentment, hatred, despair, and dissatisfaction, as well as many other feelings that harm our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health

  • Discover Your Life Purpose

What is your reason for being on this planet right now? What you enjoy doing? What makes you happy? What makes you feel at peace? How can you contribute to your own good and the good of others? Find out the answers for these questions and you will discover your Life Purpose.

  • Improve ethical and moral values

Doing the right thing just because it is right is a choice. Not judging, not having prejudices, understanding that no one is better than anyone else, and developing self-respect and respect for others are some of the many ethical and moral values that are expected of a human being. And that can be developed through the expansion of consciousness.

These are some reasons to expand consciousness, but these are just a few of them. If we reflect more and work on understanding the feelings involved, the result will be a broader view of everything that exists.

We don't need to get stuck in suffering. The expansion of our consciousness leads us to an increasingly fulfilling and happy life, which will be healthier and more peaceful, more loving, and more radiant. It just depends on us doing our part!!!
